The Children’s Accident Commission thanked Professor Wagner for his engagement and obligingness and turned over a money gift, which Wagner in turn made available for further work projects Therefore, the FH will be able to purchase important developmental tools for the study course Virtual Design, said Wagner The co-operation of his students to work with the Children’s Accident Commission, is an ideal Opportunity to work with active programs and real practical related objects rather then  the usually practiced test under laboratory conditions.. Mr.Brandt made aware, of unknown opportunities by cooperating with the Technical University, to mediate educational contents in an effective and attractive manner to their aimed audience, the “children”.

The price winners explained to the audience the contents and functions of their creation. The team of Miriam Farschon, Marc Lornew and Alexander Loos showed the new surface, in addition to programming the new play. Clicking on different mobile sheets will guide to the plays. The platform is expandable at any time. Professor Wagner showed a few screenshots at the end of the organization. The language components will be arranged in cooperation with the Südwest radio station. A professional language speaker of ARD will take over the part of voicing the character. The decisive idea was the perception, that a familiar, professional voice has greater impact on the children, for the characters effectiveness. Other groups of the Institute of Advanced School Education of Speyer supported the development of the pedagogical contents. The Children Accident Commission provided the traffic law consultation. The other 22 pieces of work from the students, who did not win a price, were also considered within the project. The primary responsible parties of the project assume that the new internet site will be available to public in spring 2008.

On Tuesday, 04.12.2007, the 5th. Anniversary, of the Children’s Accident Board KUK, Kaiserslautern was able to strike a positive balance . .Besides, three exiting projects cast their shadows ahead

Cooperation between the Highschool of Kaisersalautern and the Children’s Accident Commission (KUK)

The Internet appearance oft he KUK Kaiserslautern will also present future attractive offers to children.

Than, in Mid October, is was finalized. A team of 22 FH students showed first sketches of new designed Play and Learn offers in a presentation to the members of KUK. In seven work groups, the students developed and created d active plays to different traffic themes, equipped with a lot of learning contents and interesting elements, mostly using the City of Kaiserslautern as a virtual background picture. The primary responsible parties of KUK were pleasantly surprised of the excellent organization and successful realization of all agreed on goals

The First Chairman, Mr. Franz Josef Brand said in one of his first statements, “I am delighted of the expertise, arrangement and competence of the presentations, which by far exceed my expectations” The different one part contributions were positively evaluated by the KUK representatives. The impulse to this project was delivered by knowledge, that the internet site of the Children’s Accident Commission mainly favored adults and mainly concentrated on this target group in the past.  For them, extensive offers of information material, regarding “Traffic Safety for children”, already existed The offer for children, however, is up until now “construction site”. Not only instructions given by adults, rather, than the reconnaissance of cause of accidents and correct traffic behavior is a very important goal of the Children’s Accident Commission (KUK).

Searching for competent experts for an attractive children’s portal, the KUK found the right partner at the Kaiserslautern Technical University, the master. in design, Mr. Thomas Wagner, who is substituting the professorship in a course of virtual design studies. After first point of contact he was immediately prepared to take the subject over with his students.

Before work was started, the students were educated to gain knowledge and expertise of traffic demands and were familiarized with the contents of media education, based on founded project sketches.

The first roughly evaluated traffic expertise was now consulted into a uniformed guideline. Demonstrations shown at the presentation were expanded and brought to final form.-The students of the winter semester will take over this task.

The responsible project manager assume, that the first offers on the children’s page of the new  KUK Internet site will be made available for public viewing, in Spring 2008 .

After two and half hours die first drivers returned to the target point.

The marvelous of this action:  The performers will make all income (starter fee and consume income) available to the Children’s Accident Commission of Kaiserslautern, who will use the money for an Internet offer.   In the name of the Children’s Accident Commission  First Chairman Franz-Josef Brandt thanked all organizers and bikers for their generous gesture
